Ivy has underlying Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (PPT) with multiple cerebral infarct, she is functionally impaired due to the illness and bedbound ever since the illness. This is a prayer for Ivy to accept whatso she will be like after her come round with a thankful heart. The idea was from lament psalm, namely to express trust in God in the face of any evidence of the crisis. To petition for God to intervene, to an affirmation of trust in God even though there has no immediate deliverance from the crisis. I wish to move Ivy from hurt to joy, from darkness to light, from desperation to hope. I believe the movement from hurt to joy is profoundly a spiritual experience. Even Ivy may not receive physical deliverance from the crisis, but her life is always in the gracious hands of God -- memory, words, countenance and direction. I wish to unveil more of the face of our Lord shining upon the suffering faces.
